Although Hamilton City did not achieve as many top-placing results as in 2024, 2025 was still a great success in many ways.
Our Under 14B team returned from the North Island Junior Championships as Under 14B Grade winners. Our Under 18A and Under 18 Men’s teams both placed top five at the Netball New Zealand Under 18 Championships. In addition, our Open team at the Netball New Zealand Open Championships and our Under 14A team at the North Island Junior Championships both achieved top-ten placings.
Another success to celebrate was our Under 16B team, who were awarded the Positive Vibe Award at the North Island Junior Championships. These are all outstanding achievements.
A massive thank you goes to the management teams across all of our squads. The time, dedication, and commitment that go into our programmes, particularly from our coaches is truly incredible. Our programme would not be successful without the many volunteer hours contributed across all 10 teams in our Representative programme.
We would also like to thank our valued supporters:
-
The Lion Foundation for funding that assists with travel and accommodation costs, helping to reduce player fees
-
The North & South Trust for funding the purchase of brand-new playing uniforms for our Under 18 Men’s Representative team
-
Active Health for their continued support of our programme through education and by travelling with our Under 18 and Open teams as sports medics and physiotherapists
-
Helen Eagleton Photography for the outstanding tournament and team photographs
Congratulations to all of our teams and to our 2025 award recipients.
