Intention to Trial for Under 14 Representative Teams 2021 are now open

The 2021 Representative Team Policies and Procedures document contain the full information on the Representative Programme.

 Player Eligibility:

  • Be a registered playing member of an affiliated Club or School of HCNC or be an affiliated member of a Centre within the Waikato/BOP zone that is unable to field a representative team.
  • Be in the relevant age-group of the team they are trialing for. Players cannot play in an older or younger age group. 
  • Age 13 (born 2008) or 14 (2007) as of 01 January in the year of the representative season
  • Be financial to both Club and HCNC.
  • Be registered on the HCNC Intention to Trial Player list.

Trial Information

It is compulsory to attend at least two trials

  • Date: Tuesday 4th May 2021, Hamilton City Netball Centre

          Registration open: 4.30pm – 4.55pm

          Trial: 5.00pm – 6.30pm

  •  Date: Sunday 9th May 2021; Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre

          Registration open: 9.30 – 9.55am

          Trial: 10.00 – 11.30am

  •  Date: Tuesday 11th May 2021; Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre

          Registration open: 4.30pm – 4.55pm

          Trial: 5.00pm – 6.30pm

Representative Squads Announced: 13th May 2021– Squad Training details TBC after selection.

  • Being selected into the squad is the first step before teams are picked.  If your child is selected into the squad this is not an automatic entry into a team. 

Representative Teams Announced: 31st May 2021 – Full details TBC after selection.

Under 14 Representative Commitments

If your child is selected into one of the teams they must commit to the following:

Fees:

Approximate cost $700

Squad and team training:

  • Tuesday or Wednesday evening

Tournaments:

  • Helen Dodge Representative Tournament:  20th June 2021
  • Hamilton City Netball Centre Tournament: 27th June 2021
  • Plus, up to two other tournaments

North Island Under 16 Championship:

  • Taranaki Netball: New Plymouth 11th – 13th July 2021
Jenna Riley-Rata
Under 14A Rep Coach

Jenna Riley-Rata is a mother of 3.  She has an extensive background in netball as a Player, Coach, and Supporter.  She began netball at the age of 4 years old and has played competitively through school, club, and representative level since she was 14.  Jenna is involved with Hamilton Girls High Netball, coaches for Hamilton City Netball Centre Player Development Programmes and has a new role for Waikato Bay of Plenty Netball as a Coach Developer.

Teresa has many years experience in Netball as a Player, Coach, and Umpire.  Teresa is on the Netball NNZ Pathway, has coached Rep Netball and coaches for Hamilton City Netball Centre Player Development Programmes.
