Under 18 Trials

Intention to Trial for Under 18 Representative Teams 2021 are now open

The 2021 Representative Team Policies and Procedures document contain the full information on the Representative Programme.

Player Eligibility:

  • Be in the relevant age-group of the team they are trailing for. Players cannot play in an older or younger age group. 
  • Age 17 (born 2004) or 18 (born 2003) as at 01 January in the year of the representative season.
  • Be financial to both Club and HCNC.
  • Be registered on the HCNC Intention to Trial Player list

Trial Information

It is compulsory to attend at least two trials

  • Date: Wednesday 5th May 2021; Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre

          Registration open: 5.30 – 5.55pm

          Trial: 6.00 – 7.30pm

  •  Date: Sunday 9th May 2021; Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre

          Registration open: 12.30 – 12.55pm

          Trial: 1.00 – 2.30pm

  • Date: Wednesday 12th May 2021; Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre

Registration open: 5.30 – 5.55pm

            Trial: 6.00 – 7.30pm

Representative Squads Announced: 13th May 2021– Squad Training details TBC after selection.

  • Being selected into the squad is the first step before teams are picked.  If your child is selected into the squad this is not an automatic entry into a team. 

Representative Teams Announced: 31st May 2021 – Full details TBC after selection.

Under 18 Representative Commitments

If your child is selected into one of the teams they must commit to the following:


Approximate cost $800

Squad and team training:

  • Tuesday or Wednesday evening 


  • Helen Dodge Representative Tournament:  20th June 2021
  • Hamilton City Netball Centre Tournament: 27th June 2021
  • Plus, up to two other tournaments

Netball NZ U18 Champs:

  • Rotorua Netball Centre: Monday 19th - Thursday 22nd July 2021

Under 18A Rep Coach

Kim is s currently the Director of Netball at Hamilton Girls High School and Coach of the HGHS Premier Team.  She has an extensive Netball back ground in both NZ and Australia.  

She has coaches Representative Teams, worked for the Sunshine Coast Lightning, Head Coach at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, as well as running her own netball coaching business in Australia for tomorrow’s stars.  She loves people, and loves seeing them thrive.
