Year 7-8 Development Camp 2026
Development Camps focus on promotion of different movements and techniques that can help develop players fundamental skill and how to implement into their Netball
Coaches will also adapt sessions to players abilities and add other skill development for extension
Player Eligibility
- Must be Year 7 or Year 8 School level
Coaching
Dates:
- 2 Day Camp - Wednesday 8th April & Thursday 9th April 2026
Time: 9am – 3pm
Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre
Cost:
2 Day Camp: $100 per player

The Camp will cover the below aspects:
Day 1:
- Netball SMART: Safe Landing Skills
- Skill Focus: Attack: Movement and Space [Using Space and Passing into Space].
- Athlete Development: SMART Health
- Games [Netball and/or modified Cross-Code Game]
- Recovery protocols
Day 2:
- Skill Focus: Defence: Intercepting, Phases of defence, Pressure on the Ball
- Rules Knowledge
- Athlete Development: SMART Health Continued
- Skill recap from Day 1 & 2
- Games [Netball and/or modified Cross-Code Game]
Ensure that you bring your lunch, snacks and appropriate clothing for weather changes.
If it is raining we will still go ahead.
