General Manager, Clare Frankhouser, is moving on from Hamilton City Netball Centre at the end of the month after 8 seasons of leading the Centre. The HCNC Board sincerely thanks Clare for her outstanding leadership and dedication over the past eight seasons. She has passionately led our team in delivering diverse programmes and competitions for our members, while building strong connections across schools, clubs, partners, and funders. From navigating challenging times to championing major initiatives like the court and building renovations, Clare’s resourceful and collaborative approach has strengthened the Centre, ensuring a strong foundation for netball in Hamilton to thrive for generations to come. While we are sad to see Clare leave, we remain deeply grateful for her immense contributions and wish her all the best in her new role.
"It has come time for me to accept a new challenge and use my skills to help those in the community with limb loss and limitations. I will be taking up the new role of Waikato Regional Team Lead for Peke Waihanga – NZ Artificial Limb Service. I am proud of what I have achieved at Hamilton City Netball Centre and feel that I leave the Centre and the wider community of netball in a better place than when I started. I am proud to say that I had a part in continuing the legacy of netball in Hamilton for future generations. The court and building renovations, leading the Centre through Covid, helping to create a strong Umpire Leadership Team and the Positive Vibes Only campaign are just a few of the many things that will stay with me. Brendon, myself and my boys will always remember being part of our netball family."
The Board will begin the task of appointing a new Manager in the coming weeks.
