The New Year brings a New Title
The Board is really pleased to announce that Clare Frankhouser has started the new year with the new title of General Manager, Hamilton City Netball Centre.
A move from Centre Manager to General Manager was felt to better reflect the responsibilities which have developed in recent years within the management role. It is also a recognition of the involvement and influence at both the zone and national level that Clare has been able to have.
At the end of the 2023 season the Board released the Poipoia te Manawa Strategic Plan which aims to provide a lifelong community connection to sport through netball. The plan will guide decisions made for the Centre ensuring sustainability while being adaptable to continue to grow and change to meets the needs of the community. The move to a General Manager role supports this as it will position HCNC with the other large netball centres and other sporting codes management. Hamilton Netball Centre will be able to continue to be involved at the forefront of future changes within sport.
Clare said on being notified of her new title, “I am proud of the achievements of HCNC in the last 6 seasons. We have been able to emerge as leaders in our sport and within the wider sporting community, through our commitment to giving our community the very best experience we can deliver on and off the court. I am excited to take on the new title and the new challenges that it will bring. The Centre is in a good place to keep moving forward into the future.”
The Board will be working through updating all documents and policies to reflect the new title in the next few weeks. Until this can be done the 2 titles will be used interchangeably.
