Grades:
Intermediate Grades
- Year 8 – Competitive A, Competitive B, Social Grade
- Year 7 – Competitive A, Competitive B, Social Grade
Secondary Grades
- Mixed – Secondary (Yr 9-13)
- Secondary Senior (Yr 11-13) - Competitive, Social Grade
- Year 10 - Competitive, Social Grade
- Year 9 - Competitive, Social Grade
Open Grades - (minimum age of 15 years)
- Mixed - Depending on numbers, grades could be added
- Open Grade - A Grade, B Grade, C Grade, D Grade
Cost: $90 per team – due when invoiced. Teams will be approved on registration if required grade numbers are met. An invoice will be sent on approval of team.
Registration: Registrations open Monday 11th May
Registrations close Thursday 4th June
If you are a current Hamilton City Netball Centre registered team then your Club Managers can enter the team through Friendly Manager. If you are not a current Hamilton City Netball Centre registered team the please email admin@netballhamilton.org.nz
Umpires: Each team must provide a qualified Umpire (minimum Centre Theory and/or ITU) who will umpire their own teams games. If you are looking for an umpire, request an umpire via the.... Gear: All teams are to have matching bibs but, uniforms are not required. Each team is to provide a match ball.
Draw: The draw will be available through your Friendly Manager login and on the website (www.netballhamilton.org.nz). Information and draw will be sent once registrations close and draw is published on Tuesday 10th June.
Rules: All teams will play under the NEW World Netball rules including substitution rules. All Hamilton City Netball Centre policies and procedures will be adhered to including the Code of Conduct. These are available on the website (www.netballhamilton.org.nz)
Seconday Mixed Grade Specific Rules:
- Teams can be made up of any gender
- No maximum or minimum of any gender on court
Open Mixed Grade Specific Rules:
- In all grades and during all games at Mixed, there must always be a maximum of three male players AND a minimum of three female players on the court at any one time.
- The seventh player on court may be either female or male identified, and this can alternate at each team’s discretion during the course of any match.
- Where there are only three male players on court, they must be positioned in each third of the court – one in the attacking circle (GS/GA), one in the midcourt (WD/C/WA), and one in the defensive circle (GD/GK). In the event that a fourth male identified player enters the court, they may only take the court in a midcourt position(WD/C/WA).
- If any one team has less than six players on court, or less than the required number of male and female identified players, the match shall be immediately awarded to the opposing team.
Time: All games will be 10 minutes each way with 2 minutes at half time. No injury time will be added to the game times.
Refunds: No refunds will be given if teams withdraw after draw is published.
