Purpose of this programme: To help new 7v7 players and coaches better understand the rules and positions. The jump from 6v6 netball can be quite confusing for the players and coaches, the same goes for those who are brand new to netball. This programme creates a learning space that is non-competitive and allows people to understand the rules at a pace that works for them. 

Player/Coach Eligibility: Open to players and coaches who have come from futureFERNS 6v6 and Intermediate age players and coaches who are new to 7v7 netball or wanting a refresher.

Programme Details:

• The session will explain the importance of Netball Smart and a demonstration. Netball Smart is a widely known warm-up tool and important as those new to 7v7 may not have been exposed to this previously.

• You will learn 7v7 positions. New players may have no idea of what each position does and where the position can play.

• The session will end with a game/s. This will allow the players to familiarise themselves with the positions on the court.

Date: Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 (Player Programme) & Thursday, February 13th, 2025 (Coach Workshop)

Venue: Hamilton City Netball Centre

Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm 

Registration: Players - $5.00 registration fee. 

                        Coaches - Free
