2026 Representative and Development Programme Coaches 

Hamilton City Netball Centre [HCNC] is seeking Representative and Development Coaches & Managers for the following 2026 roles: 

Representative & Development teams: [Programme Requirements Below]

• Under 14 A & B & Development 
• Under 16 A & B & Development 
• Under 18 A & B
• Under 18 Men
• Open A & Development

These roles require enthusiastic and organised people to motivate individuals and teams to achieve success on and off the court. Coaches will provide an experience that will give our athletes the opportunity to develop the best technical skills and physical aptness to compete in day tournaments and/or at Championships and National Tournaments. 

The ideal candidates will have some experience (experience level required will be different for each age group), have a philosophy around developing fundamentally strong players, and have the ability to engage with the athletes, build rapport and trust. 

These positions are volunteer based, there will be reimbursement contribution towards costs for the season. Coaches will also be given ongoing support and guidance as they continue their coaching journey.

We are looking for coaches for different levels, and for a variety of programmes we offer here at  Hamilton City Netball Centre. If you enjoy developing yourself as a Coach or Manager with an awesome bunch of athletes, then we look forward to hearing from you and/or receiving your expression of interested and/or application.

PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS 2026

Programmes run from 9-10 weeks in total including trial weeks. Weeks consist of x3 Trial dates (spread over first 2 weeks), x1 training each week starting after trials, x5 Sunday events to attend, and Champs Tournament. Please see below for more details: 

All Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 [Representative and Development]

• Representative Prep Day: Sunday 29th March 2026 [TBC]
• Trials: 19^th April to 1^st May 2026 - [TBC]
• Weekly Trainings: All teams have x1 training each week. Either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening [May to July - TBC before Trials] 

Under 14, Under 16 & Under 18 Representative Programme

One Day Tournaments/Events: 

• HCNC Centre Day: Sunday 17^th May 2026
• Counties Manukau Representative Tournament [Pukekohe]: Sunday 24^th May 2026
• Auckland Netball Centre Representative Tournament: Sunday 7^th June 2026
• Helen Dodge Representative Tournament [Tauranga]: Sunday 14^th June 2026
• HCNC Representative Tournament: Sunday 21^st June 2026

Tournament Champs:

• North Island Junior Champs: New Plymouth - Sunday 5^th July to Tuesday 7^th July 2026
• Travel Dates: Saturday 4^th July to Tuesday 7^th July 2026
• Under 18:
• NNZ Under 18 Champs: Christchurch - Monday 13^th July to Thursday 16^th July 2026
